download naajayaz hindi songNew York-based LastPass said on Thursday that it has raised $20 million in funding to expand its product portfolio. LastPass, which creates a software platform to manage passwords for consumers and businesses, has in the past raised about $40 million in venture capital and was valued at $125 million at the time of its last round in 2013.
LastPass will use the new capital to accelerate the pace of growth, it said in a statement.
It said that its investors include Greenoaks Capital and Capital Factory, a venture fund that invests in e-commerce startups. The round was led by the venture fund and will also include existing investors Sequoia Capital and 2nd Avenue Partners, the company said.
LastPass provides services for creating and managing unique, strong and easy to remember passwords across all devices. According to market research firm IDC, the market for password management software hit $326 million in 2016, up from $202 million the previous year, and $144 million in 2011.
LastPass CEO and co-founder Jeff Johnson said in a statement that the company is on track to hit $100 million in annual recurring revenues in 2019.
